Our client is hiring for a General Manager to lead their Seattle, Washington office. This leader in the restoration and reconstruction space has nearly 400 offices serving residential, institutional, and commercial customers and clients across the United States and Canada. For over 50 years, our client has served their communities in their time of need when facing disaster and having their worst day.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, from driving operational excellence to delivering exceptional customer experiences and maximizing profitability.

You are the leader in the office, leader in the market, leader for your team, and leader for your customers. You are recruiting and developing people, driving growth, profitability, and results, monitoring financial and operation health, and ensuring success in each aspect of the market.

The Day to Day

  • Lead in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process of A-Players.
  • Coach Team Members and drive team building events through our Leadership Development Program.
  • Schedule and conduct department and company meetings and weekly Goal Setting and Reviews (GS&R) events with team.
  • Coordinate and discuss financial/operational matters with finance personnel and team leads.
  • Communicate and collaborate with corporate operations.
  • Develop a business plan to achieve profitability goals.
  • Expense budget maintenance
  • Monitor bank lines of credit, cash flow, and A/R for overall bank relationship status.
  • Review job reports, WIP (work in progress), and customer relations with team for backlog/contracts signed but jobs not started/flow of WIP/quality control/customer complaints.
  • Discuss and review marketing plans and objectives with Business Development lead.
  • Attending company marketing and business development events to build relationships.
  • Participating in monthly GM meetings and corporate events.
  • Understand the Franchise Agreement and Operations Manuals.
  • Partner with lead sources and drive to agreed upon KPI’s.
  • Quickly resolve escalated customer service concerns.
  • Professionally represent the corporate brand, vision, mission, and values at all times.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or multiple years’ experience in Construction Management, Business Management or related field
  • Five plus years’ experience in a management role
  • Experience with reading and interpreting financial statements.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in restoration or construction field
  • Experience in a Project Management and/or Estimator role
  • Experience with Restoration Management Software (RMS)
  • Sales experience
  • General Contractor’s License
  • Leadership Development Trainings
  • IICRC certifications

Travel

  • This position will require up to 25% local travel to jobs sites, trainings, and company events (as needed).

Physical Requirement

  • Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about a customer job site (indoors and outdoors)
  • Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to service customer sites
  • Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
  • Occasionally will lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle

SALARY & BENEFITS

The approximate annual compensation range for this role, depending on individual candidate level and experience, is $150,000 - $250,000+, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions.
