Job Description

In preparation of the start of an anticipated busy ecological survey season in Spring 2024, we are looking for some additional support and resource within our SW Regional Team based at our Exeter office. Central to the role of Office Assistant will be the scheduling of ecological surveys, assistance with health and safety, maintenance and monitoring of survey equipment, uploading data etc. In addition, the role will include some more general administration tasks for the Ecology, Arboriculture and Landscape Teams. We are looking for someone with a bright and positive personality, who has excellent interpersonal skills and is good working as part of a team. Good organisational skills are also required.

The role would involve:-

Ecology survey scheduling

Maintenance and monitoring of work equipment, ensuring it is ready to be used for ecology surveys.

Assistance with Health and Safety.

Assistance with preparing billing information for our Accounts team.

. Administrative support to the regional team.

The ideal candidate will have:-

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in an administration role.
  • A bright and positive personality with a can do attitude.
  • Have good IT skills
  • Be a team player
  • Good organisational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience or interest in Ecology and Wildlife Protection, would be desirable.

The Working Hours:

This is initially a part time role, which can be worked flexibly Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, for 20 hours per week.

Salary: 19,000 - 21,000 per annum pro rata.
