NEXGEN Utility Management is seeking a talented and motivated civil/environmental engineer looking for experience at a private firm specializing in wastewater and water projects. This is an entry level or up to 5 years of experience position.

Ideal candidates have a desire to learn about wastewater engineering, work well independently, and have strong writing skills.

This position is full time and based in our Sacramento, CA office (Natomas Area).

JOB DUTIES:

Engineer Responsibilities and Functions:

• Performing planning-level engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems
• Performing data analysis and system hydraulic modeling
• Chemical and biological engineering analysis
• Preparation of plans and specifications
• Periodic travel to sites for construction oversight
• Developing cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
• Preparing technical reports
• Preparing figures to support technical analysis

Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in related area
• EIT or PE preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with a project team
• Highly motivated, self-starting, and detail-oriented
• Commitment to quality work
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred, but not required
• Experience with ArcView preferred, but not required

Salary range of $70,000 - $90,000/year based on experience.
