Mobile Engineering Manager Development ManagerReact Native

This is a remote position.

Job summary:

Reporting to the Director of Global Engineering you will be responsible for the tactical delivery of features within your assigned domain teams.

Lead one or more of our domain teams using a combination of technologies such as React/React Native, Bluetooth technology, mobile application etc.

.

Have good expertise and experience with both platforms Android and iOS use Native APIs

.

Build pixel-perfect, smooth UIs across both mobile platforms(Android and iOS)

.

Actively participate in meetings to review product requirements to clarify expected outcomes and acceptance criteria as you break down the work and

provide estimates as to its completion.

.

Participate in Scrum ceremonies and estimation activities.

.

Identify and implement ideas to improve developer efficiency and velocity.

.

Work with team leads to document and prioritize technical debt and roadmap requirements for completion in support of a stable and flexible platform.

.

Facilitate and assign work to experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of system issues and implement corrective solutions.

.

Create and perform continuous analysis of team performance and propose areas of continual improvement.

.

Work with SREs and Security to align on observability improvements. Assign team members to build application level dash boarding to improve transparency into application health, efficiency, and utilization.

.

Utilizing a shift-left mentality. Evangelizes and provides training to teams in path

to develop more secure software and reduce risk post deployment.

.

Work with platform team to align on technology being used on teams,

determine standards, and refine processes.

What you'll need:

Overall 10+ years of IT experience in relevant field

.

5 or more years of leading teams and at least 2+ yearsin leading Mobile App development Team, at the manager level, of developers and QAresource

.

Should have at least7 years of experience in application development and minimum 3 years experience in mobile application development on one or more major platforms of Android, iOS, Hybrid Apps (React Native, Flutter, etc... )
.

Hands-on experience in React Native (Hybrid) or flutter

.

Good Understanding of Rest API's, document request model and offline storage

.

Familiarity with native build tools like XCode, Android Studio, Gradle, etc ...

.

Experience withTypescript, Node JS, React, React Native and ES6 desired

.

Experience with any one of the mobile app performance monitoring tools.

.

Preferred a background in, or continued hands-on capability in, development and/or architecture.

.

Demonstrated experience in working in fast paced and continuously innovating environment.

.

Proficient in tracking and building reporting with DORA metrics and working with teams to improve performance based on data.

.

Experience working in an environment going through a digital and/or cloud transformation.

.

Experience driving adoption of modern development and QA best practices.

.

Experience leading Agile teams using SCRUM, LEAN, Kanban or other variation.

.

Advanced knowledge of, or experience with Reporting, CI/CD tools and patterns.

.

Cloud proficiency (AWS preferred).

.

Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to solve problems independently.

.

Senior level understanding of software design patterns and standard practices.

.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can optimally articulate

sophisticated ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanation.

.

Passionate about and demonstrates a high degree of customer centricity.

.

Experience with Lucid Chart or other design tooling desired.

.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitLab/GitHub.
