Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by a fast-growing solar company to recruit a Sales Manager for their new US Operations located in the Wynwood, Miami, Florida area. This is a non-remote position.
Our client is seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Sales Manager with a proven track record. Our client has a successful, market-tested product with an extremely strong value proposition and virtually unlimited customer base, and they are looking for a results-driven leader to recruit, educate, motivate, and empower a fast-growing sales organization.

As the customer-obsessed Sales Manager, your mission is to drive growth in their residential sales division while prioritizing exceptional customer experiences. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, reflecting our customer-first approach and your expertise in sales management.

Duties include:
  • Recruit and build a team of A players.
  • Instill a customer-obsessed culture within the sales team, ensuring that every interaction positively impacts potential and existing customers. Prioritize understanding and fulfilling customer needs throughout the sales cycle.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of sales professionals by fostering collaboration and developing talent. Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, nurturing their growth, and ensure they embody the company's core values of customer obsession, innovation, grit, and collaboration.
  • Utilize your expertise to refine and execute sales strategies that generate consistent weekly transactions. Target a goal of 20 to 30 transactions per month per sales rep, contributing to the rapid growth of the company’s customer base.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the company’s products and value proposition, and how they compare to legacy utility providers and traditional solar. Similarly, educate the sales team so they have a deeply personal understanding of the product and are convinced that the company is unmatched in the market.
  • Promote an incredibly short sales cycle. Going from prospect to customer is as easy and quick as signing up for an Amazon account.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to support sales initiatives. While not responsible for lead generation, you will contribute to internal marketing strategies designed to optimize conversion rates.
  • Ensure that your team is motivated and incentivized to close deals effectively. Employ creative strategies to gamify the process.
  • Be active in training, mentoring, and coaching the sales team. Emphasize a player development mindset that continuously hones individual skills, motivation, and performance.
  • Serve as a positive role model within the company, fostering a solution-focused, growth-oriented, and positive attitude. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace feedback.
  • Contribute to Terra the company's growth strategy by supporting expansion across Florida and the Sunbelt states. Leverage your experience to identify opportunities and challenges in new regions.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of growing a sales team and scaling quickly.
  • A get-it-done attitude and history of excelling in challenging and rapidly evolving environments.
  • Experience selling to homeowners (B2C) and previous sales management experience. Prior experience in solar sales is good but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with solar technology and sales cycle dynamics, particularly the ability to swiftly close deals and facilitate our online subscription process.
  • Proficiency in sales team leadership, including recruitment, training, and ongoing development.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technology, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based programs.
  • Relentlessly focused on results, growth, and improvement. Ability to collaborate with and thrive in a team atmosphere.
