Job Description
North Sacramento nonprofit hiring for Grants Accountant to add to the accounting team. Organization has a staff of more than 80 and several thousand volunteers on a mission of fighting food insecurity through education and support.
Position Summary
Position Summary
- Manage a portfolio of grants and grant budgets.
- Support Program Director/Managers and Controller with developing budgets
- Prepare financial reports
- Review and track all grant job costing for proper allocation.
- Prepare accurate financial reports to government agencies and ensure the timely submissions of allcompliance documents on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- POC to Federal/State officers to respond to inquiries relating to incurred costs vs award budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required
- 5 years of grant accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
- Prior experience withgrant monitoring, fund, tracking/funding preferred.
- Non-Profit and or goverment accounting experience preferred.
