GovFirst is currently seeking an IT Asset Control Specialist to support our client directly in the DC Metro area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations in support of business processing requirements.
- performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- scheduling installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Supporting media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Broad knowledge of Network and Server systems with a general ability to understand complex environments.
- Knowledge in System Patching and Virus protection Products
- High level of written communication and documentation skills
DESIRED SKILLS: (any of the following)
- Citrix certifications as applicable
- A+ Certification
- Security+, Network+, HDI or ITIL Certification desired
WORK ATHORIZATION REQUIRED:
- U.S. Citizenship
