Beverage Experience Required
The VP of Retail Sales leads the company's efforts to maintain and expand relationships across
both large multi-location retail customers and our network of distributors. This role is
responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.
VP of Retail Sales represents company to assigned customers, while leading the customer
account planning cycle and ensuring customer and distributor needs and expectations are met
by the company.
Reporting directly to the CEO, The VP of Retail Sales will have (4) direct reports: (2) Director of
Field Sales and (2) Sr. Director of National Account Accounts.
Job Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Increase revenue by identifying and driving new sales opportunities
- Build and manage the national sales budget, establish sales targets, and report on budget performance
- Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
- Achieve strategic placement objectives and KPIs for national retail accounts
- Prospect and develop a key account opportunities in designated channels through key account direct reports
- Establish individual goals and deliverables for each sales member and measure accordingly
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in both national accounts and key distribution partners
- Collaborate across internal departments (finance, marketing, and operations), and build/strengthen relationships externally (brokers, distributors, retailers, etc.)
- Responsible for regular sales meetings, as well as daily internal and external communications
- Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
- Analyze success through shipments, depletions, scan data, and pivot strategy accordingly
Organizational Alignment:
- Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
- Builds strategic distributor plans to support in-market execution of key accounts.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction that meet company standards.
- Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
- This position may have direct report staff assigned to support responsibilities in specific customers.
Qualifications:
- Four year college degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum ten years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
- PC proficiency
- This position requires extensive travel
