Job Description

Role Purpose: To manage the day-to-day delivery of maintenance, liaising with internal and external customers to maintain and improve quality and profitability of the company through providing excellent services.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead the maintenance teams effectively, undertaking all managerial tasks and supporting colleagues through effective people management and mentoring.
  • Ensure effective scheduling of resources for maintenance activities in line with contract scope.
  • Manage contractor invoicing in line with the contracted payment schedule.
  • Manage and deliver the departmental success measures across the maintenance team proposing initiative for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee maintenance inspections as required, ensuring accurate creation of reports for clients.
  • Supporting maintenance of relationships through management and reviews of delivery and client communication procedures.
  • Oversee the quality, performance and delivery for all maintenance activities, ensuring high quality of work is carried out and tracked appropriately.
  • Support and contribute to the wider operational success measures, ensuring alignment of the maintenance function.
  • Provision of maintenance reporting in line with SLAs to customers and internal teams as required.
  • Liaise with wider operational and commercial teams on project opportunities resulting from maintenance works.
  • Provide quotations for work as scoped by clients.
  • Ensuring balance of capacity to maintain inspection, maintenance and reactive capability alongside effective scheduling of project works.
  • Support new business development activities, CPD activities, professional standards, and professional institute (IET) engagement.
  • Support SHEQ activities, proactively undertaking audits to ensure compliance of standards and addressing inefficiencies suitably to implement change for improvements.


Requirements

Core Competencies:

  • Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.
  • Excellent communication, including ability to adapt your communication style and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Good understanding of manipulating data and creating reports
  • Able to read and challenge electrical schematics
  • Self-starter with the intuition to be proactive and positively influence team members
  • Able to remain calm and work well under pressure whilst driving positivity and Company values through leading and managing the team effectively.
  • Confidence to make decisions and take ownership
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Strong understanding of CMD regulations

Experience and Qualifications:

Overseas equivalents are also accepted. Practical application will be considered in line with any qualifications obtained

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of managing client stakeholder communications successfully
  • Experience of working on relevant maintenance and inspection
  • Experience of leading a team providing a maintenance and inspection programme

  • Permanent, full time position working 40 hours a week.
  • We will be offering a basic annual salary between 45,000 - 55,000,depending on experience.
