About the Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter (UK) at Norman Hay Engineering, based in Coventry, UK with occasional travel to other sites.

Tasks

What will you do?

The Mechanical Fitter will report to the Production Manager and involves assembling and assisting in the manufacture of plant and equipment to recognised NHE standards.

  • Cut and install pneumatic pipes & fittings
  • Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools or welding equipment.
  • Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
  • Operate machines to produce parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.
  • Crane and lifting of heavy fabrications.
  • Set up and adjust metalwork machines and equipment.
  • Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies. sub-assemblies. b, material and equipment requirements.

Requirements

Essential (must have)

  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Pneumatics
  • Machining (Turning, milling, etc.)
  • Parts inspection
  • Onsite experience
  • Pipe work (Mild steel, St/stl, PVC, ABS, Polyprop)
