Financial Accountant Job Description:
The Keller Group is proud to represent a top-tier client in their search for a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their accounting team. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting processes while adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements within their high-growth space.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules in compliance with GAAP
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and expense accruals
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and support the external audit process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning purposes
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and maintain documentation for audit purposes
- Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, processes, and policies
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the companys financial operations
- Provide financial analysis and insights to management for decision-making purposes
- Assist in ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by management
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation or progress towards it is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a publicly traded company or financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of internal controls and risk management principles
