Responsibilities:
- Oversee the raw side processing environment of processed products as well as the Ready-to-Eat (RTE) area and packaging
- Manage daily production schedule to ensure production goals are met
- Ensure KPIs are in place and being used to drive performance of the team
- Interpret data through Excel and provide statistical information to the leadership team
- Utilize RCA methods in focus groups to ensure product specifications are met
- Provide mentorship to front-line supervisors in relation to both production and employees
- Manage department projects and budgets
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-yrs experience in managing a Ready-to-Eat product process
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SOPs, USDA
- Regulatory knowledge related to processed products (i.e., USDA FSIS Appendix A and Appendix B)
- Food processing industry experience required
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience in a management capacity
- Bachelors in Meat Science, Food Science, or a similar field Or equivalent combination of education and training
- Meat industry experience preferred; processed products
- Collaboration with external customers on process and product innovation or best practices
