Presidio Tucson, the management team that operates the premier, luxury apartment communities in downtown Tucson, are adding a Community Specialist to their property team!If you have high-end customer service experience, strong communication and organization skills, and a passion for downtown living, we want to talk to you!

This is NOT corporate, residential property management. This is a true community in the heart of downtown Tucson, with a team who is focused on going above and beyond in customer service, attention to detail, and creating opportunities for connection and engagement, in addition to typical property management and leasing duties.

What You Get:
  • Competitive compensation: $52-55K annually ($25 – $26 hourly)
  • 90 hours Paid Time Off (PTO) annually + a full holiday week (rotating Christmas and New Year)

What You Will Do:
The Community Specialist will participate in all aspects of high-end property management, rotating through all positions and wearing multiple hats. With time in position and proven success, they will start to act as a lead for the team and have the opportunity to grow into a Community Manager role, acting as the right hand to Presidio Tucson’s owner.

Customer Service and Resident Retention
  • Work closely with maintenance and property management to ensure apartments are ready for move-in and maintenance requests are reported and quickly completed.
  • Orient new residents to our community; always represent the company in a professional manner and create a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Get to know the residents, understand various preferred styles of communication and interaction, and build relationships that showcase why we are the BEST community downtown. This includes listening to resident requests, concerns, and comments.
  • Answer questions for residents about community, repairs, and rent by communicating clearly and fairly; be able to hold to consistent rules while remaining friendly.
  • Receive visitors and inquiries via phone, online, or in-person.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community on a continuing basis.
  • Help plan and host resident functions in partnership with the property manager.
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules and ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Presidio Tucson’s owner to attend Downtown and local area meetings and gather all pertinent information on behalf of and to be shared with the residents and property team.
Marketing, Sales, and Leasing
  • Greet prospects, qualify by covering all criteria, and demonstrate community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to clients’ needs by communicating the features and benefits
  • Close the sale, have prospect complete application and secure deposit in accordance with the company procedures and Fair Housing requirements, and obtain new resident’s signature(s) on paperwork prior to move-in
  • Follow up with applicants regarding status.
  • Actively participate in neighborhood marketing (signage, banners, newsletters, flyers, etc) and assist in monitoring paper and digital advertising effectiveness.
  • Understand the Apartment Association lease and contracted credit report application
Administrative and Record-Keeping
  • Record all visits (virtual and in-person) on appropriate reports, in real-time, and create and maintain guest cards.
  • Update availability report, process applications for approvals. (i.e., credit check, rental history, etc.) Submit processed applications to the Property Manager for approval.
  • Monitor renewals and distribute and follow-up on renewal notices.
  • Distribute all company or community-issued notices
  • Work within accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial information and accept rental payments, and post rents to the computer. This includes preparing, reviewing, and closing financial books for assigned properties.
  • Record monies collected and prepare bank deposit slips on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage vendor documentation and payments by ensuring all proper and legal documents are received, current, accurately verified, and entered into our software prior to payment being processed.
  • Communicate with Property Managers regarding the accuracy of invoices received; that purchase orders are attached and invoices are coded correctly, according to company procedures, and endure they are approved, entered, and paid within a timely manner.
  • Prepare a statement of accounting notices for past residents.
  • Assist in lease transactions by typing leases, gathering applicant’s history, and performing credit approvals.
  • Maintain accurate monthly commission sheets on leases, renewals, and delinquencies for bonus purposes.
  • Provide general clerical assistance to the community office
Qualifications
Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in high-end hospitality, member organization, or residential customer service with a demonstrated ability to delight clients and diffuse concerns.
  • Desire to obtain a real estate license (if not already licensed) and enthusiasm to learn about leasing
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community; business casual.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to attend events and to participate in call rotation.
  • High attention to detail that includes a commitment to being present and on-time
Preferred:
  • Operation of 10-key calculators, copy, and facsimile (fax) machines to perform calculations, produce and distribute documents.
  • Familiarity with Entrada Property Management software
