Responsibilities:
- Contribute to architectural decisions, performance design, and instrumentation, and conduct proof-of-concepts as needed.
- Develop high-quality, reusable code by applying design patterns and best practices in software development, ensuring agility, reliability, and scalability of the services.
- Proactively monitor system performance and health using observability and AWS tooling.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management pipelines, creating tooling to enhance productivity.
- Regularly refactor codebase to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of the services.
- Design and expand SQL and NoSQL database schema.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Conduct testing and debugging activities.
- Attend daily standups and weekly sync-up meetings with stakeholders.
- Contribute to sprint planning sessions by reviewing goals and grooming stories.
- Scale architecture using modern technologies, leveraging the AWS platform.
- Foster a culture of delivering high-quality content aligned with the brand vision.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience with JavaScript/Node.
- Over 10 years of experience with at least one static language (e.g., Java, C/C++) and at least one dynamic language (e.g., Ruby, Python).
- Over 10 years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using microservice architecture.
- Over 10 years of experience designing, building, and deploying solutions utilizing various AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Route 53, Lambda, IAM, ECS, and API Gateway.
- Proficiency in multiple modern platforms such as Git, AWS, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Travis, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, IaC, etc.
- Proficient knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and design patterns.
- Proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment and experience working with the command-line interface.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, and Chai.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of experience designing and implementing GraphQL APIs using microservice architecture.
- AWS Cloud and/or Terraform certifications and training.
- Familiarity with data science techniques, hands-on experience with ML frameworks and algorithms.
- Familiarity with React.
