1. Provides technical and critical business input to the design engineering process at stages such as problem definition, conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design, and design communication. 2. Prepares, reviews and issues mooring and lifting plan for all vessels in the rig yard and floating dock. 3. Clarifies technically all issues related to mooring and lifting plans of vessels. 4. Review pre-tender contract technical specifications, develop design inputs, verify classification requirements and statutory rules, and update the Chief of the Navy and Navy on the scope of naval architectural work. 5. Develops the form of weight control and issues the periodic report for weight control. 6. Carry out ship stability calculations as required by the contract.
