MEP BIM MODELER

POSITION PURPOSE:

BIM modeler responsible to creating and maintaining 3D models using BIM software, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other members of the design and construction team, ensuring the models are accurate and meet project requirements, and using the models to identify and resolve conflicts or issues during the design phase. Additionally, they use BIM to support constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, facility management, and operations during the buildings lifecycle

BIM KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation of MEP BIM Models from design drawings, coordinated with Architectural and Structural Models.
• Coordination of BIM Models using Navisworks.
• Creation of Parametric Revit Families.
• Creation of Revit Models from Point cloud.
• Creation of detailed shop drawings, sleeve drawings, as built drawings, Schematic diagrams, making RFI etc.
• BIM 360 Collaboration projects.
• Do the quality check.
• Aware about BIM standards.
• Scan to BIM
• Follow Revit content standards and development procedures.
• May take the lead on developing some discipline-specific Revit modelling content for project.
• Print drawing sets for professional teams and participate in discipline reviews.
• Prepare own discipline model and/or content for Revit coordination meetings.
• Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and schedules etc for all Electrical, mechanical & Plumbing

MECHANICAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designed building mechanical systems for projects through all different phases from schematic.
• Design to construction documents of various projects like shopping malls, Education institute, Hospital, Commercial Buildings, Industries, Residential Buildings.
• Designed HVAC systems like Centralized cooling and heating, VRF /VRV systems & DX-Split system.
• Designing of ventilation systems for Commercial and residential buildings.
• Designing of Water system layout, Sanitary& vent system layout. Plumbing Pipe sizing, Water Heater selection, Grease Interceptor sizing, Roof Drain Sizing.
• Making the cooling load calculations for HVAC systems, Static pressure calculations, Pump head
• Working knowledge of various building services design codes such as ISHRAE, ASHRAE, SMACNA, IMC, IECC, IPC.
• Basic knowledge about Hevacomp & IES

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & TRAINING

• Diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
