Are you looking to make a real impact in people s lives?

We re looking for caring, reliable and friendly people to join our mission to reinvent home care in Wallingford - Does this sound like you?

As a Wellbeing Support Worker, you will support people to thrive at home, including companionship, personal care, preparing meals and going out and about.

Why join BelleVie?

  • We pay for more than just your visits

We re proud to be an Accredited Living Wage Employer that unlike other care companies pay a salary based on your contracted hours - not just when you're supporting on visits.

We pay 13.00 p/h for time spent on visits doing what you do best supporting people in their homes. We pay 11.00 p/h for your contracted hours when not on visits spent on other activities. This covers activities such as gaps between your visits, travel time, team meetings, training and activities such as marketing and recruitment so you can have financial peace of mind each month. We also pay you a mileage allowance of 45p/mile.

  • We guarantee your contracted hours

You will never be paid less than your contracted hours. You ll work your contracted monthly hours in 5-hour shift blocks throughout the week, and on every other weekend. We also offer paid overtime opportunities on a regular basis.

  • We empower our people:

You ll be part of a close-knit, self-managed team. Your team will make their own decisions that benefit the people we support, with a local Development Coach on hand to provide help if and when needed.

  • We re flexible:

We re about making work, work for you. As we split shifts up into 5 hour blocks it means that you can find a healthy work-life balance. All that we ask is that you take responsibility, share your availability with your team and are able to work every other weekend.

  • We provide all the training you need:

No prior experience in care? No problem. We hire based on values and personality traits and provide and pay for all the training that you need to excel, including a trusty handbook on effective self-management.

  • We provide personal development opportunities:

If there s something you want to learn more of, tell us. We offer different opportunities within the company and access to training for you to continuously develop your knowledge and skills. We are working with providers to offer Level 3 in Adult Care qualifications as well as supporting colleagues who are interested in setting up their own micro enterprises through our Thrive at Home project.

Additional Benefits

  • Paid Team meeting time and buddy time

  • We offer all our colleagues 28 Days holidays inclusive of public holidays.

  • One week paid sick leave

  • Fully paid NACAS (National Association of Care & Support Workers) Membership

  • Colleague Referral Scheme - Chance to earn more money & incentives by supporting with recruitment

  • Regular online and in person social events throughout the year

What does a Wellbeing Support Worker role involve?

Just like the title suggests, Wellbeing Support Workers provide care with a difference.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing wellbeing support as a whole: this includes everything from personal care, cleaning and cooking to shopping trips, picnics in the park or having a friendly chit-chat over a cup of tea. Whatever the person needs to live happily and comfortably at home will be your top priority.

  • Developing great relationships: taking the time to get to know the interests and aspirations of those we support and the people in your team.

  • Working in a self-managed team: you will be part of a small team (up to 11 people) where you will manage your own time and rota, make decisions, creatively solve problems, give feedback and celebrate successes.

  • Being a buddy : you will be paired up with another Wellbeing Support Worker in your team and be one another s designated buddy. This involves supporting each other on individual problems, reflecting on your work and providing useful feedback to help you learn and develop in your role.

  • Collaborating with the families/ friends of the people we support: you will make regular contact with the loved ones of those we support to make sure we are helping them in the best way possible.

  • Keeping all information up to date: including all paperwork and communication with the people you support and your team.

  • Be willing to take on specific roles: Teams organise themselves into different roles such as rota champions, storytellers, recruitment coordinators, PPE champions and more. These roles change every 6-12 months.

Who we re looking for:

  1. First things first, it s important that we share the same values

  2. You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car

  3. While we don t ask for prior care experience, we do ask that the following things matter to you:

  • Connecting with people: you love getting to know other people, spending time with them, and working as part of a team.

  • Connecting with your community: you enjoy being connected to your local neighbourhood, whether as a member of local groups, or just being in touch with your neighbours.

  • Making a difference: you love knowing that you make a difference in people s lives, large or small.

  • Trying new things: you have a go, try new things, and enjoy variety. You re flexible and you take initiative to make things more interesting.

  • Being busy: You love being on the go, and don t enjoy being bored. You have lots of interests and hobbies (when you have the time!).

  • Taking responsibility: you are happiest working in a supportive and connected team making decisions together and trying new ideas.
