You are interested in developing and leading People topics within a dynamic Insurtech then you are the future Head of People Germany (f/m/d) we are looking for based in

In this role you will:

  • Participate and contribute to the design and delivery of the global wefox people strategy and actively engage in the global people and business line management teams while acting as the people voice for Germany and its respective businesses
  • Be accountable for managing a consistent and cost-effective world-class People service, operationally and strategically, to all German employees residing in multiple locations, business lines and cost centers
  • Act as a trusted and assertive Partner to the Chief People Officer, the German Country Lead and their local management teams as well as other internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead a small high-performing and adaptable people team for our country operations in Germany by organizing clear responsibilities and enabling the department to be recognized as a value-adding partner
  • Contribute, coordinate and collaborate with the global People Team in the areas of Rewards, Employee Experience, Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition
  • Develop the general framework for an effective and customer-oriented People Team while ensuring a smooth operation of all People related processes, onboarding & offboarding, local salary policy, short-term and long-term incentive execution and managing a best-in-class payroll and benefit process
  • Actively partner with the business in shaping the transformation towards an integrated country model, manage local facilities and associated personnel
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Instil a high-performance culture and enforce strong performance management measures, including frequent calibration as well as identification and harnessing of high potentials
  • Ensure workforce and succession planning as well as setting-up long-term capabilities and provide guidance regarding business unit restructurings
  • Lead and implement strategic People Projects, including Workday and payroll initiatives

What you bring

  • Experience of 7+ years in comparable management positions with a clear focus on Human Resource Management paired with experience in matrix structures
  • Experience in the insurtech/fin-tech sector or start-up environment is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of all People related topics, especially in local law and employment practices
  • A proven track record in supporting business changes and transformations
  • Extensive track record in developing, leading and motivating teams to outstanding levels of performance paired with the ability of empathy and remarkable interpersonal skills within an agile environment
  • You are a change agent with a good dose of hands-on mentality and are characterized by a high degree of independence, conscientiousness as well as focus to deliver
  • Outstanding, transparent and direct communication skills tailored to different levels of an organisation
  • Fluency in German and English is a must
