Grinding Machinist

• Set up and operate CNC & Manual Surface Grinders in a safe, appropriate and efficient
  
• Select appropriate grinding wheel for material and surface finish
  
• Load and dress grinding
  
• Load and set work holding
  
• Set up job according to specifications of work order, engineering drawings and related Follows directions and produces required quantity of
  
• Works on different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production
  
• Must produce parts within required
  
• Follows all company policies, procedures, and work
  
• Follows work order instructions, blueprint reading and geometric
  
• Operate more than one machine when cycle time
  
• Responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat
  

Requirements

• High school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
  
• Two (2) years of satisfactory experience in a related position, five (5) years preferred
  
• Must have good working knowledge of material identification and processing characteristics and processes such as heat treatment
  
• Understands blueprints, job travelers, work instructions, program and tooling sheets, tooling specifications, quality documents and familiar with GD&
  
• Use of inspection hand
  
• Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, basic trigonometry
  
• Strong working knowledge with work holding, cutting tools, grinding wheels and shop
  
• Ability to plan, program, setup and run production based on engineering drawings and related
  
• Ability to follow quality plans and the proper use, care and calibration of inspection tooling and equipmen
