Job Description
NEP Group, is looking for a college graduate and/or equivalent to join our Master Control and Communication Services Center Team in Ruffner, CA as an MCR ; The MCR/CSC Operations Team is responsible for managing and coordinating NEPs transmission requirements via satellite, fiber and ; The candidate will join NEPs rotation, helping to deliver services effectively and The position will require overnights, weekends and holidays, 40 hours per week, with the potential for Bilingual capabilities are a plus (English/Spanish,French). We are looking for a driven, self-motivated ; The ideal candidate is well organized and has the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
What You Will Do
Key duties include:
- Routing various signals according to booking information following workflows and procedures
- Managing daily workloads and responsibilities with other team members
- Quality Control for video and audio transmissions
- Troubleshooting technical issues and escalating to Engineer-in-Charge or providers
- Booking and operating third party services, including space segment, fiber circuits,
- Handling client transmission requests via phone and email
- Reporting and documenting technical issues
- Operates all broadcast equipment and technology within assigned operating areas, including but not limited to organization and distribution of all server content used for recording and playback during control room
- Participates in special event coverage and projects as necessary
Requirements
- 2nd Language: Particularly Spanish, French
- Ability to achieve minimal fault with work completed
- Effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- 2 Years working in a broadcast environment
- Familiarity with broadcast equipment, including routers, waveform monitors, receivers and VTR Decks
- Familiarity with Satellite transmissions and RF delivery
- Excellent Computer Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Customer service skills
- Preferred knowledge/experience
- Familiarity with MCR/Transmission facility
- HD knowledge
- QC Experience
- Post production environment
- Working with new media, encoding and streaming technologies
- Ability to deliver superior service and build lasting relationships by demonstrating NEP s Core Values: innovative, one team, passion, and integrity
