Senior UnixLinux Engineer wmd 8522

For a permanent position at our client's site in Zug, right next to the Zug train station (40-60% home office possible within Switzerland), we are looking for a motivated Senior Unix/Linux Engineer.

In this role, you will support the IT infrastructure and security team and are responsible for the development and administration of a complex Linux (CentOS and Ubuntu) environment in a private cloud.

Tasks

• Responsible for infrastructure automation
• Development and administration of the complex Linux environment
• Ensuring trouble-free and permanent operation of the IT infrastructure
• Working with different stakeholder such as Windows engineering, software development and other business units
• Updating and creating documentation
• In charge of trend scouting with a focus on security and technology
• 2nd level support, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical problems

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Senior Linux Engineer (preferrably RedHat) with a focus on Azure, preferably in a similar position/environment
• Strong skills in system administration and troubleshooting with solid knowledge of Linux monitoring
• Solid know-how in Ansible, Git/GitLab and Jira with practical scripting skills via shell/bash and Python
• Experience in security standards and practices with high level of security awareness
• Familiar with cloud technology and containers are an advantage
• Good knowledge of the entire IT infrastructure environment
• Strong operational mindset with attention to detail for planning
• Fluent in English
