42 Wolfsburg Berlin is a recently launched, disruptive higher education NGO/start-up educating 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Wolfsburg/Berlin is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded 2013 in Paris and today trains 15 000 students in 42 schools. At 42 Wolfsburg/Berlin we set out to educate the next generation of German software engineers to build the digital (mobility) infrastructure of our societies this means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

As Freelance CRM/Communications Manager of 42 Wolfsburg/Berlin you will be part of a dynamic young team which set the goal to create a learning community among the students as well as the employees. At 42 we think and act like a startup but with the strategic support from Volkswagen, CARIAD, SAP, Microsoft, Bayer and many more partners and using the successful brand, content and infrastructure of the global 42 network.

Tasks

The position is initially advertised as a freelance position. There is the prospect of being taken over full-time after 3 months.the community. You do what you do best: go online, share with the world who we are and what we stand for, get familiar with our community, ask around, experiment, learn, and iterate fast. You are the "go-to" person for all the potential students and others interested, ensuring that nothing could stop them on their way to success. You are communicative, quick-at-hand, creative, not afraid to take responsibility. All in all, you are a young jack of all trades and ready to kick-start your career with us. Most of all, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn!

As a Marketing Assistant/ Student Success Manager, you ll be the one responsible for incoming inquiries from future students. You will also be the one setting up a mailing funnel for stepping up our CRM game. You will be helping develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Lead, producing good-quality content on a consistent basis, analysing usage data, facilitating student/applicant success and managing marketing projects and campaigns.

More specifically, you will

  • Own our Campaign Management Tool (Mailchimp)
  • Send out mailings via tools such as Mailchimp. Plan and organize open days and FAQ-events to make potential new students excited to join 42 Berlin.
  • Help plan and organize our selection months, communicate with the candidates and make sure that everyone is onboarded.
  • Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor user reviews/feedback
  • Develop (automated) measures that are tailored to our target group

Requirements

Some professional working experience in the field of marketing

  • Knowledge of Mailchimp Tool and/ or other CRM/Mailing Tools
  • Effective and charming communication skills in English and German (must have)
  • Positive attitude towards working with prospective students from all sorts of backgrounds and colleagues.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and can do attitude; ownership of tasks and projects; balanced and patient character.
  • High energy, positive approach to life.
  • Able to learn fast and independently.
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems (mainly Wordpress)
  • Having some extra knowledge with all sorts of marketing channels and tools and creative hobbies in your resume is a plus (like Mailchimp Newsletter tool, Photoshop, a bit of coding experience).
