Drywall Installer

MODERN CITY HOMES LTD. Located at 7754 147 street, Surrey, BC, V3S 5M4 is currently looking for 5 DRYWALL INSTALLERS to join their team as soon as possible.

Full-Time Permanent positions at $27.50/Hour for 40 hours per week with 4% vacation pay as BCs Employment Standards. Various work locations as per companys contracts. English is a required language. 2 to 3 years of experience and completion of high school is required.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Large Workload, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods.

Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold.

Job Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine layout and installations procedures.
Apply drywall to walls or ceilings of residential and commercial buildings.
Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and board knife.
Tape over joints using taping machine, fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and offered ceilings.
Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints.
Smooth out excess compound.
