Mark up capped at 45% for this role. The Strategic Sourcing team is looking to hire a GTM Strategic Sourcing Analyst who will help support the sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing for the business teams in the G&A category. Must be US based but can sit in any time zone. Potential for extension.
Must have:
-3-5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement (cradle to the grave PO management)
-Focused experience in Marketing category and related sub-categories (PR, Events, Communications, Marketing Research, Creative Services etc.), category management approach and expertise, strategic sourcing, consulting in a large, global company environment (required)
-MS Office with advanced Excel skills required with exposure to Coupa, NetSuite, and Scout (highly preferred) -Previous experience with Process Mapping is highly preferred
Job Brief:
Okta's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team is looking to hire a Strategic Sourcing Analyst who will support the sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for the business teams in our 'Go-To-Market' organization. This includes various sub-categories such as PR, Events, Communications, Marketing Research and Creative Services and other direct or indirect requirements on a local or global scale.
The primary objective of this position is to maximize the value and minimize the risk associated with contracts and procurement-related activities. This role will partner closely with the stakeholders and guide them throughout the entire sourcing process, from defining requirements & scope, to leading negotiations, and through contracting. The Analyst will work closely with the contracts team on negotiating commercial terms for project-level agreements (Statement of Work, Engagement Letters, etc). We are looking for a strong candidate who is proactive, organized, and works well within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage entire lifecycle of sourcing projects from end-to-end
- Collaborate with G&A business partners to identify requirements and lead supplier selection activities including conducting RFI's, RFP's, market assessments, etc
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their objectives and align procurement initiatives with their business requirements
- Conduct internal/external data analysis and provide recommendations based on the analysis
- Ensure adherence to compliance regulations in accordance with Okta's Sourcing and Procurement policies and procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with contract management/legal, security, and business teams
- Manage contract renewals schedule and maintain updated documentation in the contract repository
- Develop category strategy plans and manage key supplier relationships
- Aim to deliver maximum value across the complete procurement process while minimizing risk
- Support M&A integrations with contract consolidation efforts
Requirements:
- 3+ years of shown experience in Sourcing and Procurement of Marketing category and related sub-categories (PR, Events, Communications, Marketing Research, Creative Services etc.), category management approach and expertise, strategic sourcing, consulting in a large, global company environment (required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing and contracting best practices
- Experience with G&A business partners in the sourcing and procurement space
- Familiarity with the procure-to-pay process and vendor management principles
- Great communicator with good interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent project management and time management skills
- Proficiency with analytics and reporting
- Experience working in SCOUT/Workday Strategic Sourcing, COUPA, Ironclad is a plus
- Proficiency in MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
