Drywall Installer

Business location: 14107-57A Ave, Surrey, BC, V3X 2W4 Job Title: Drywall installer (7284) Vacancies: 04 Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent Wage Rate: $27.50/hour, 40hrs/week. Work location: Various locations all over lower mainland. Anticipated start date: as soon as possible. Education: high school Work experience: 2 to 3 years of experience is required. Language: Basic English Job Requirements: Reading blueprints and workout specifications to determine layout and installation procedures. Preparing construction area for drywall installation Measuring, cutting and fitting drywall sheets for installations on walls and ceilings. Positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Taping over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Smoothening out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings. Cleaning and maintaining equipments and tools. Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold temperature. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Large workload, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Bending, Crouching, Kneeling.
