Your Tasks:

Our Division TechOps Hosting Products & Services is looking for a motivated System Engineer to run 100% uptime Services on Linux within IONOS global IT Infrastructure. Do you want to run and develop critical Software and Systems? Implications of fundamental truths like If you can t measure it, you can not improve it shall guide you through your work? Would you like to work together with a Team of motivated Experts to drive the company's success? In a culture where we are proactive and cooperative the following responsibilities await you:

• Provisioning, operating and migration of distributed, high available Services on Linux.
• Improve and develop the full Stack from Hardware over OS to the Application together with the team and scale them further.
• Continuously improve Services, service provisioning and technology to measure Service Quality.
• Improve your knowledge and experience with Linux- and Network Technologies constantly and share it with the Team.
• Operate certified, security relevant Infrastructure.
• Join the on call rotation.

We Appreciate:

Foundation of your success is a strong knowledge of Linux and Networking systems. You are interested in system administration and are motivated, eager to learn and willing to share your knowledge with others.

• 3-5y hands on experience with administration of complex services on Linux (no specific Distribution).
• Hands on experience operating DNS (PowerDNS, PowerDNS Recursor), NTP (ntpd, Meinberg), DHCP and IP-Management.
• Experience using Observability Stacks (collectd/telegraf, metrictank, Grafana) and Remote Management Technologies (e.g. Dell iDRAC).
• Experience with Network Protocols and Technologies (BGP, anycast, VLAN, Firewall, IPv6).
• Hands on experience with automation and programming (Puppet, Ansible, git, Go, Python, Java, Bash).

We are an international Team in an international Company, fluent English (B2) is required, German is a plus. You can either work in our Karlsruhe Office or from home all over Germany.

You will work in a structured and independent way as well as being a teamplayer. You give input to discussions and make sure that decisions are facts based and well understood among all team members. You communicate openly and engage with your Team and our Partner Teams.
