Your mission

You take responsibility in changing the way healthcare works in Europe and beyond. With your work you help 1 Mio people in 2028 to get the best possible treatment at the right doctors or clinics. For achieving this you leverage technology for our employees and customers, so they apply their expertise more effectively and efficiently.

• Actively developing cross cutting services that are used by other engineers
• Collaborating across teams to help engineers with solution design, prototyping and resolution of blockers
• Openly steering and facilitating architectural collaboration, documenting decisions and keeping information up to date and consistent
• Curating technical solutions to maintain the quality of the company's architecture and software as it grows and tacks over time
• Inspiring an engineering culture across teams to create alignment on organisational strategy and principles
• Enabling us to embed smart data services into our applications and speed up the innovation together with the data science team
• Identifying and driving solutions that helps the product teams to establish new practices, identify common problems and automate recurring tasks
• Regularly think about team practices and processes and discuss improvements

Your profile

• 5 years of relevant professional experience as a senior software engineer or software architect

• Knowledge of a modern programming language (e.g. Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Go, Elixir, Java etc.), Elixir or other functional languages are a strong plus
• Understanding of economic impact of technical decisions
• In-depth working knowledge of architectural patterns and technical concepts (well sized services, domain driven design, event oriented architecture, devops, continuous integration)
• Familiarity with information security and risk management
• Experience in leading technical initiatives as a thought leader and mentor
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
