The Team Manager of Desktop Computing Management team, under the supervision of the Manager of Desktop Computing will be responsible to sustain a supportive team-focused environment, which enables team members to develop and maintain a best-in-class Desktop Support team.



Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Technical Analysts to deliver high-quality solutions every day.
  • Adopt industry standard best practices; look for improvements in the existing processes.
  • Oversee work allocation and day-to-day operations for the Desktop Computing team.
  • Create a positive working environment for the team, which inspires high productivity and cohesive teamwork.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and coach team members in partnership with the Manager of Desktop Computing, with an end goal of retaining a work force of the highest quality for both the team and our organization.
  • Demonstrate commitment to performance management and staff development through annual performance reviews, career development and training plans for team members.
  • Ensure the team is delivering highly valued and trusted services to our customers.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization on a regular basis.
  • Introduce and enforce quality control standards.
  • Provide leadership to internal improvement projects.


WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A bachelor s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required.
  • A minimum of three years of direct leadership experience managing technical teams in the IT industry is required, including HR responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a desktop support team is highly recommended.
  • Exceptional decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated strengths in planning, organizing, and managing operational work.
  • Highly adaptable and able to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced service delivery environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of process development and continuous process improvement.
  • A high degree of self-awareness and understanding of what impacts people and business.
  • Commitment to provide customers both internal and external with exceptional care and great customer experience, attention to detail and the highest of quality.
