Grapefruit Recruitment and Consulting is recruiting for a full time Clinic Nurse to join an exclusive and talented integrative health team in Hamilton. Our client offers high quality preventative healthcare programs to patients and corporate partners as well as allied health, complementary and alternative medicine and medical aesthetics services. The successful candidate will support the implementation of the clinic s signature preventative health and wellness assessments, programs and clinics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing assessments, testing and treatments: Provide consistent, professional services according to the clinic s treatment protocols for: testing (body composition, cardiac stress, EKG, vital signs, ankle-brachial index, etc), phlebotomy, IV infusions, specimen handling, clinic support, and other duties as required.
  • Promoting the Clinic s work: Share the clinic s work and help educate the public on health and wellness. Communication with the public about how they would benefit from the clinic s services, as needed. Participation and assistance with any special events held.
  • Sales: Actively learn about and share knowledge of the clinic s programs and testing.
  • Training: Participate in team trainings and pursue individual knowledge gaining opportunities. Training is provided for any new tasks and is ongoing. The clinic is constantly pursuing new services and opportunities to learn and serve patients. Training is under the medical direction of the Medical Director.
  • Clinic maintenance: Each practitioner is responsible for setting up and resetting their workspace in a clean, tidy and organized manner. This includes ensuring garbage and linens are dealt with, stock is stored properly, locks are maintained, inventory and maintenance checklists are complete. Opening and closing protocols. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the clinic s policies and procedures. Perform general housekeeping duties in the clinic service rooms and common areas as required. Support with maintaining inventory and tracking.
  • Transportation: It is required to have your own vehicle. Concierge visits to local workplaces will be part of the job.
  • Client support: Supporting clients before, after and during their testing and treatments, by answering questions, rebooking them, helping them deal with adverse side effects. Follow up with patients regarding outcomes and concerns with treatments. Communicating with existing clients to advocate for their return to the clinic for appropriate additional treatments.
  • Strategy: All practitioners are expected to forward the goals and strategy of the clinic by participating in coaching and quarterly reviews. Regularly participate in team meetings.
  • Miscellaneous: At the discretion of the Medical Director and her manager(s), additional tasks may be required of the employee in line with the vision and objectives of the clinic.

  • Comfort with procedural work in health care, including with cardiac testing and monitoring.
  • Confident, comfortable bedside manner.
  • Quickly acquire knowledge shared and integrate into the treatment experience.
  • Interest in sharing knowledge with other team members.
  • Ability to use an electronic medical record, calendar, email, and other digital messaging tools.
  • Ability to operate testing software.
  • Ability to learn and apply scientific principles to health and wellness.
  • Follow all clinic business policies, protocols and company culture requirements.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the clinic s policies and procedures.
  • Give dependable and consistent service and relationship outcomes to clients and the clinic.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of the client experience.
  • Have strong communication skills for working with clients and team members.
  • Highly organized with recording keeping to ensure all clients needs are met.
  • Exhibit honesty and integrity in all treatments, recommendations and company culture.
  • Show adaptability and flexibility in the workplace for the good of the client.
  • Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Take initiative when you recognize an opportunity to make someone s day.
  • Must have their own vehicle and driver s license.
  • Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to adhere to all COVID19 related protocols and procedures related to patient and practitioner safety, recognizing that these will change over time.
  • Adherence to all clinic medical directives in the event of emergencies or complications.
  • Participation in any conferences or courses as required.
  • Clinical assessments of health concerns of patients in accordance with clinic manual and on-the-job instructions and training.
  • Maintaining an orderly and professional clinic appearance, consistent with the clinic s overall professional presence, in all locations.
Qualifications
  • The practitioner should be an RN or RPN with experience with primary care, emergency or ICU care. Cardiac testing and monitoring experience is a significant asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to get or currently hold their own professional liability insurance for their profession.
Special Demands
Our client offers satellite services. The packing, lifting and carrying of a treatment bag and all supplies pertaining to the requested mobile services is required. All team members are required to be available to work evenings and Saturdays on occasion.
