Tasks

Position: Business Analyst with Japanese Language

Job Location: Remote

Work Hours: Japanese Work hours

Contract Duration: 12 Months + possible extension

Job Summary:

This position supports the successful development of
Clients global data strategy, particularly Customer Master Data. This role
interacts with colleagues in all Markets to assist in data conversion
activities and on-going adherence to global data standards. Accurate and
timely Customer Master Data is essential to successful relationships with our
customers as well as internal reporting.

Essential Functions &
Accountabilities:

Analyzes large quantities of
customer master data from multiple systems to provide global consistency and
standardization.

Leads or contributes to data cleansing and validation of customer
master data for conversion activities from legacy ERP systems to the
appropriate customer data hub to ensure accuracy, completeness, and global
uniformity of data.

Works with IT in testing new system attributes or functionality.

Assists the current C-MDM users with keeping data up to date and in
compliance with global data standards until the data in transferred to the new
CDM system.

Analyzes system-generated error messages and resolves complex
integration issues with Oracle (i.e., Production Support).

Understand end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies in
support of delivery, release and change management.

Drives consistency, reliability and build trust in data sets across the
Commercial organization (that is, ensures Regional Customer Master Data
Coordinators and users adhere to Global data standards).

Provides MDM/CDM training and certification for local Customer Master
Data Administrators when needed.

Provides on-going support to local Customer Master Data Administrators.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel and work in different locations to support key
    data projects, if necessary (<10%)

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong
    analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability
    to work at a very detailed level and perform to a high level of accuracy
    in all tasks.
  • Ability
    to drive to root cause of data differences in various systems and
    eliminate inconsistencies. Recommends solutions to data issues.
  • Ability
    to read and understand technical material and communicate effectively with
    non-technical stakeholders
  • A
    strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data modelling, master
    data management and requirements gathering
  • Ability
    to effectively execute tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Readily
    adjusts to changes in workload, priorities, and timelines.
  • Resolves
    simple- to high-complexity system problems in alignment with data
    management practices.
  • Excellent
    written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable
    working with people whose first language may not be English.
  • Experience
    in the implementation of at least one leading MDM technology (preferably
    Oracle).
  • Data
    analysis skills with the capability of identifying data quality issues and
    correlating those issues with data specifications and quality rules
  • Proficiency
    with Microsoft Office, with knowledge of, and experience with, handling
    large datasets in Excel. Experience with formulas including lookups,
    concatenation, and text functions is essential.
  • Works
    independently with minimal supervision.

  • Extensive remote contact with colleagues (usually via Teams ).

Experience:

  • Previous experience with ERP systems, particularly with data
    management, in a large multinational enterprise.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, team-oriented,
    collaborative environment.
  • Strong Excel knowledge is essential (and/or other analysis tools).
