We have an excellent opportunity for a Lead BMS Controls Engineer to join Honeywell s Life Science Automation Team in Ireland. The Pharma / Life Science Automation Lead Engineer will be will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of projects within the Honeywell Process Solution (HPS) Lifecycle Solutions & Support (LSS) busines. Lead multiple short cycle and long cycle time projects and deliver jobs on time, on budget and at customer satisfaction. This is a fast paced, multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team environment. The role requires a good understanding of HVAC application and knowledge of Honeywell software is an advantage.The job will entail working closely with the Project Management & Service Leadership team, and our customers, leading the technical delivery of projects and supporting service. Ensuring technical delivery and customer satisfaction with Honeywell processes and products, understanding customers' needs, fostering and maintaining strong customer relationships, and looking for opportunities for further Honeywell business are the main aspects of the role. Main Responsibilities: Be the Primary Interface to Honeywell s customers for technical queries and issues in a professional manner that is consistent with Honeywell values and lead, support and direct other team members in a collaborative manner with technical issues. Assist Sales and Project Management in controls & automation designs for bid proposals and schedules. Plan, implement and manage engineering projects at each phase including planning, design, documentation, software/graphics, installation, commissioning (and/or) validation and hand-over to client as required. Assess, manage and report on internal and external resources (Sub contracting) to deliver the project on time, to the labour budget. Preparation of Functional Design Specification (FDS) and project documentation as required to develop, test and install high quality controller software code (Controller and HMI). Oversee Honeywell and third party equipment inspections and tests including testing of control panels and automation including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT). Operational and Maintenance Manuals (O&M s) must be complied per project. Commissioning on site. Provide ongoing support and maintenance as required. Review project deliverables to ensure we meet project scope. Identify project scope changes to the project manager and facilitate change management to ensure that customers/management are aware of changes in project scope Champion and lead project Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards.

Requirements

Mandatory Key skills Electrical or Recognised Electrical Trade Apprenticeship (full electrical apprenticeship) or a Bachelor s degree in Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, Electro-mechanical, equivalent qualifications with a view to designing, reviewing, making and supervising panel modifications. Valid full Driving license. Experience in Pharma / Life Science / Bio Pharma / validated automation including experience with Panel & Electrical controls design and commissioning, instrument selection and commissioning. Experience with Utilities & HVAC application design, configuration and commissioning in a in Pharma / Life Science / Bio Pharma / validated environment. A self-driven individual with a professional attitude is required for this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service mentality combined with an ability to multitask and solve problems in a logical way under pressure. Good team worker with ability to lead a small team from time to time including remote teams. Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision and multitask.Additional Advantageous skills Strong controller and application knowledge such as experience in engineering BMS projects based on Honeywell/Cylon/Trend and Tridium Niagara software (AX/N4) platforms. Ability and willingness to travel and work within the island of Ireland. Proven excellent interpersonal skills. Strong English written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiations.
