Job Description

  • Manage OEM and subcontract projects, including finding suitable OEM suppliers, negotiating prices, and managing contracts in accordance with OEM policy and guidelines established by the company. Follow up on and keep an eye on the OEM projects by working with the marketing and technical business development functions. Create alternative OEM suppliers to increase product efficiency and market and pricing competition.
  • Purchasing Strategy - Establish and enhance purchasing strategy to guarantee a steady supply of materials at a competitive price. Develop a strong contingency plan on the alternate supply source for the essential materials to ensure production continuity.
  • Suppliers Management - Managing a pool of trusted suppliers for on-time complete deliveries, high standards of customer service, and reasonable prices.
  • Conduct research to find cost-cutting projects and chances for purchasing direct and indirect supplies.
  • Purchasing Operations - Ensure that purchases are made in compliance with internal customer requirements and procedure. In charge for updating any papers relevant to ISO.
  • Participate in initiatives for developing and promoting new products.
  • Maintain relevant purchasing master data.
  • Prepare forecasts for suppliers to use in their planning of their production.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by the superior.


Requirements

  • Min Degree in Business Studies/Supply Value Chain/Management.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the equivalent skills, preferably from the manufacturing industry.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of operational experience managing OEM projects is required.
  • Exposure to OEM at SEA regional level and supplier network will be a bonus.
  • Excellent at measuring and reporting performance indicators and expense control.
  • Expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities;
  • Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
