Responsibilities

India s fastest growing paper honeycomb company with a focus on consumer durable packaging. We are on a mission to provide this industry with green packaging that works better than current polluting option in terms of performance and cost. Having successfully demonstrated the concept of paper honeycomb packaging, ability to supply Just-in-time and maintain high standards of quality and consistency, we are now looking for motivated and driven people to contribute to this effort as leaders. The idea is to take this solution to all major OEMs.

The purpose of the design department is to give packaging solutions for our customer products within the given internal (Manufacturing, cost) and external constraints (Testing/aesthetic etc.) meeting the time line to support sales function for existing business and new business opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Adherence to Daily work management for design role for data updating and analysis Sales process for design.
• Understanding customer requirement (Product journey cycle, handling etc.) and providing concepts in the form of a drawing meeting cost targets along with cost breakup.
  
• Conduct customer specific tests on proto type design and check effectiveness before submitting the concept to customer.
  
• Prepare a presentation supporting the concepts along with internal test reports to compare its merits with the current customer packaging.
  
• Participating in concept presentation and design discussion to capture first hand feedback.
  
• Able to differentiate between the packaging application for an existing concept and
  new concept requirement.
• Prepare design manual and updating on a periodic basis for reducing design lead time and cycle time.
  
• Continual improvement in existing design for customer and present it based on priority by sales department.
  
• Releasing drawings for prototypes + samples + production with cutting plan, dies.
  
• Maintain obsolete and running drawings as per ECN on a common portal/ERP.

Requirements

• Expertise on Auto Cad/Solid works
  
• Well versed with MS office Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel
  
• Understanding of types of loads, bending, properties of paper like BF, RCT, COBB, Moisture etc.
  
• Understand degrees of freedom and 3 point locating principle.
  
• Understanding of 1st angle, 3rd angle drawings with isometric views.
  
• Good communication skills in English are a must.
  
• PG Diploma/Degree in packaging from a reputed institute or 5-6 years of experience in paper-based packaging products design.
