Job Description

Job Purpose:

To implement, maintain and update all training and development processes / resources within the Commercial Training Centre in line with Awarding Body/Industry Standards. To support the delivery of training courses to ensure all tutor and client needs are met to a high standard. To provide advice and guidance to internal staff, including existing and new clients / learners in relation to commercial training requirements and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Effectively managing the training centre, efficiently utilising resources to achieve high quality, cost effective and compliant training programmes.


  1. To maintain a strong working knowledge of CSCS, CITB, CPCS, NPORS, EUSR, UKATA, IOSH, NEBOSH (and any other relevant awarding bodies ) to understand how these relate to the working practices within the company, and that team members are aware of updated scheme rules and guidance and apply this in information given to colleagues, learners and clients.


3. Ensure team members understand and comply with all awarding body rules and guidance, and a high level of quality control is implemented into information being sent to internal staff, learners and clients.


4. Ensuring effective relationships with external training providers and other external partners.


5. Responsible for the course delivery of associate tutors, and ensuring they remain compliant with our and Awarding body guidelines.


6. Driving and improving centre administration processes to ensure a continuity of customer service is maintained throughout the business.


7. Line management of administration team, including performance management, reviews and monitoring of staff attendance to improve overall attendance.


8. Management of learner numbers and liaise with sales and marketing for commercial courses and offers.


9. Coordinate all administration to ensure it is compliant with our Standard Operating Procedures, and Awarding body guidelines.


10. Provide support (telephone, email, face to face) to all team members.


11. To manage any complaints or appeals in line with our policies and procedures.


12. Delivering IAG sessions to individuals and groups when required and directed.


13. Represent us at external meetings (e.g. Awarding Bodies, Networking, Client Reviews, Audits).


14. Assist and support Continual Professional Development (CPD) with all Tutors and Administration Staff.


15. Ensure tutor centre files are kept up to date with current documentation prior to any training being delivered (i.e. in-date Professional Indemnity / Public Liability Insurance, copies of training certificates, cards and accreditations. Copy of driving license, Disclosure Barring Service and a signed service level agreement.


16. Liaise with other departments to map learning and development needs across all sectors of the company.


17. Negotiate and contract with other agencies to support the delivery of learning and development programmes.

22. Any other duties as deemed necessary by the line manager.
