Position Summary:
The NA Demand Planner position manages the S&OP Process and Inventory for NA. In addition this role is responsible for SAP Material Master Maintenance for NA as well as SA and NZ. This position reports directly to the Global Director of Supply Chain and Procurement.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Lead S&OP Process in NA with cross-functional team.
Work closely with Sales to maintain the sales forecast using chosen software (Arkieva).
Work closely with Operations to prioritize production.
Work closely with Procurement to determine buying strategy.
Responsible for NA Inventory management. Drive inventory optimization in order to meet both customer's expectations as well as the working capital requirements of the Business.
Determine inventory strategy (MTS, MTO, safety stock levels, fixed lot size) and order lead times.
Lead Aged Inventory Meetings as well as Product Disposition.
Manage Demand from Tollers and suppliers of 'products-for-resale' products.
Provide Monthly Inventory forecasts as well as weekly report to Supervisor.
SAP Material Master Maintenance for NA, SA and ANZ.
Back-up Material Master Maintenance for EMEA and AP.
Responsible for creating Material Numbers in SAP by coordinating set up, as appropriate, of Purchase records, BOM's, QC records, and Costing.
Active member of the Global Supply Chain Team representing NA Demand Planning.
Active member of NA Business Team.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
Training
Qualifications:
A Technical Degree. A degree in Information Technology or Chemistry is preferable, though not essential.
Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement or Logistics.
Microsoft Office with strong Word, Excel and Power Point skills.
Experience with ERP systems is essential. Use of SAP is strongly prefered.
