The overall objective of the Home Support Service is to care for and maintain people in their own home. This will involve the provision of a service that is flexible, that is provided on demand and meets the needs of the service user. Our Home care support vision and ambition is to provide a service where everybody will have easy access to high quality care and services that they have confidence in and staff are proud to provide.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Personal Care Tasks and other duties as outlined in individual care plans.
e.g. Provide / assist clients in carrying out personal care, toileting, showering etc.
Requirements
Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -
(a) Fetac/QQI Level 5 in Health Care or equivalent/commitment to complete same within relevant specific timeframe.
And
(b) A minimum of 1 year experience in the caring profession.
And
(c) Be of good character, trustworthy, reliable and portray a
positive attitude towards the Service.
Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
