Facility Engineer

Our Client is seeking a Facility Engineer at our Anniston, AL facility. Our Facility Engineers report directly to the CMS Facility Engineering manager and also support the local Facility Manager to develop, support and safely execute the Facilities Capital plan to deliver a quality product to the customer. This position works a 9/80 schedule with typical hours 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and having every other Friday off.
As a Facility Engineer at our Anniston facility you will:
Project engineer for low to mid-level scope projects.
Specify requirements and write purchase requisitions for Facility items, services and projects
Manage all disciplines of subcontracted construction projects (demolition, electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, furniture, etc.)
Manage a variety of subcontractors, reviewing requested work, writing work orders, inspecting work and approving payments. This includes general construction, vehicle repair, rigging & millwright, crane maintenance and other services.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems of low to moderate complexity.
Support Safety & Environmental Objectives, including following policies, conducting area audits, alleviating issues, supporting risk reduction reviews/actions and sustainability improvement projects
Financial responsibilities: assuring expenses are applied to the correct Cost Center and Account assignments, completing projects within schedule/budget constraints, assisting with development of the annual Facilities budget for their work efforts
Assist with reviewing documentation associated with low to mid-level of complexity projects to include bids, statements of work and project authorizations.
Coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for facilities-related construction projects.
Submit purchase order requisitions through Oracle based software.

Perform multiple additional duties and other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Skills
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and four (4) years of related experience, OR equivalent and in-depth experience in managing various types of manufacturing or production facility projects and operations
Ability to read CAD 2D drawings AND/OR extensive experience in plant/manufacturing operations, optimization, process improvements, and overall management
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work well in a team environment
Effective communication skills, written and verbal
Solid problem solving and analytical abilities
