- Understands complex inter-relationships.
- Understands system – knows how social, organisational, and technological systems work and operates effectively with them.
- Monitors and corrects performance – Distinguishes trends, predicts impacts on system operations, diagnose deviation in systems’ performance and corrects malfunctions.
- Improves or designs systems – suggests modifications to existing systems and develops new or alternative systems to improve performance.
- Develop and operate a preventive maintenance system that will accommodate the conflicting requirements of minimising lost time and maintaining costs within acceptable levels.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate performance results (breakdowns, manpower productivity, cost etc.) and take prompt action to correct substandard performance,
- Develop programs and schedules and design standard procedures that will facilitate achievement of the objectives set,
- (Key Objectives: To improve on system availability through planned pro-active maintenance)
