Job Description
- Inspecting toolroom equipment for proper functioning and reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- Keeping track of all tools and equipment in the tool room, including serial numbers and other identifying information
- Providing information about tools and equipment to other personnel in the company as needed
- Taking inventory of toolroom supplies and equipment on a regular basis to ensure they are in good working order
- Cleaning and maintaining the toolroom, including sweeping floors, dusting equipment, cleaning windows, and washing walls
- Repairing broken equipment or installing new equipment as needed
- Maintaining inventories of parts and supplies, recording purchase orders, and tracking deliveries
- Setting up machines or equipment for use by other employees in the facility
- Performing other clerical tasks, such as filing paperwork or answering phones
