We are currently seeking to hire ahelpful,empathetic, andresponsible individual to help provide in-home health care for an elderly couple with dementia. Both spouses are 75 years old.

This position is on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA.

Location & US Work Authorization

  • This job is onHilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA.
  • Relocation, visa, compensation, and room and board will be provided.
  • Any required work visa will be sponsored and paid for.

Job Duties

  • Reside in the home of the patient (you ll have your own private room). "Room and board" provided.
  • The patients needs include:
    • Help organizing daily activities
    • Help with memory loss
    • Monitor their safety and identify any risks to their safety
    • Encourage and support of activities that are stimulating and enjoyable
    • Companionship
    • Administer basic health care and medical treatments.
    • Assist with special/occasional needs such as driving to appointments
    • Provide counsel, comfort, or encouragement to client
    • Maintain a hygienicliving environment
    • Monitor overall health conditions and respond according to general nursing care standards as required
    • Assistance in dressing and grooming
    • Assist in medications and daily activities as needed
    • Communicate changes in condition to physician and family promptly
    • Work with the family to address any health issues that may arise

Tenure

  • The family would like a commitment of at least (3) months.
  • The contract may be extended indefinitely based on mutual agreement.
  • Before making any decisions, you will have the opportunity to meet with the patients and family via video conference in addition to being flown to South Carolina, USA for an in person interview. You will be able to see the home environment and meet the patient so you can make an informed decision.


Requirements

  • Must benurse, dietitian, nutritionist, occupational therapist, social worker, or physician in order to be eligible for a TN visa.
  • Must be able to speak English sufficiently to correspond with the couple, family, and health care professionals.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to make sound healthcare decisions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate healthcare matters with the patient and other medical professionals.
  • Ability to work in a partnership environment with the client and family to achieve positive health care outcomes and good quality of life for all parties.
  • Willingness to contribute to the patient s overall healthcare and coordinate with others to address issues.
  • Willingness to be flexible and take a heuristic approach to providing in-home healthcare.


Benefits

  • Relocation to the US as well as relocation back to Mexico at the end of the contract
  • Private room and board (the incumbent will be provided with a private bedroom)
  • USD $1200/mo living stipend (this is above and beyond the room and board)
