Transportation Supervisor

A busy distribution center is looking for an organised and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join the growing team situated in Kempton Park.
The Ideal candidate for this position is anyone with the abilities to oversee the team of drivers delivering outbound shipments. Furthermore, schedule drivers and assign delivery routes to encourage quickly and safely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers
• Assign delivery routes
• Update driver information
• Assist with the hiring process for new drivers
• Maintain records of vehicle use and maintenance
• Process trip logs and reports
• Ensure compliance with dotted regulations

 Requirements 

• Grade 12 Preffered. Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Post-secondary education or experience in logistics is a plus
• Trucking or delivery experience preferred
• Valid Driver Permit
• Organisational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills
• Applicants for this role must have prior delivery and logistics experience.
