Mainframe Lead

10+ years of overall experience, with experience in handling Mainframe modernization projects

Experience working in mainframe tech stack like COBOL (preferred), DB2 (mandatory), VSAM , JCL, CICS, MQ, z/OS Connect

Experience working in modernization to Java or .Net stack, software development methodologies and tools. Must have experience in modernizing mainframe platforms to modern cloud (Azure would be a plus) solutions.

Strong understanding of Technical Architecture & enterprise framework.

Experience with large software development / migration projects and involvement with various phases of various SDLC

Experience working with technologies such as Java or knowledge of latest technologies and platforms

Experience or knowledge of VSAM files, DB2 databases, data migration to cloud native DBs like Postgres, APIs like MuleSoft, Cloud technologies, Agile-DevOps and design patterns

Experience or knowledge on mainframe application rewrite, preparing designs and migration of mainframe COBOL/JCL/CICS code

Knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Ability to evaluate and recommend tools, environment based on the system integration and feasibility requirements

Ability to engage with the customer, understand problem statement and having intelligent conversations to gather more information to build a holistic solution

Good communication skills verbal and written, strong analytical skills

Investment banking knowledge will be a plus
