For our client - a well-renown company working in the field of electricity storage, which is currently in the process of building a production facility in an area near Madrid, Spain - we are looking for a Spanish/ English/Russian speaking
Project Manager in Madrid, Spain (m/f) 100%
who could monitor and manage the development of this project.
You will coordinate and follow up on project activities relating to the internal building construction, arranging a development of the ventilation system, office/lab planning, creation and development of the interior etc. full procurement of their new facility in Madrid. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-organised professional who is looking to take part in establishing a new site for a growing international team.
Tasks
- Oversee the initial stages of the office and laboratory reconstruction project in Madrid (internal building management and office/lab systems development)
- Be responsible for budgeting including procurement duties
- Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure everything is set up in accordance with Spanish law
- Communicate with the London senior management and report directly to the CEO
- Collaborate with the architect and construction team to establish and maintain progress, productivity and reliability
- Conduct meetings on-site with the architect and the construction team
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Prepare and submit project estimates
Requirements
- BA/MSc in Engineering or equivalent is desirable
- Strong financial and cost management skills
- Advanced Spanish, English and Russian language skills are a must
- A proven record of living in Spain, knowledge of Spanish laws and regulations, strong ability to liaise with contractors and the team in Spain
- A proven ability to manage and motivate others to deliver
- Previous working experience as a project manager/coordinator/organiser
- Attention to detail
- Great organisational skills, proven working to strict deadlines across all stages of building projects
- Possess a good knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation and the ability to translate this into improved site standards
- EU-passport or a valid permit to working in Spain
