To achieve this, we are building an ed-tech vertical, which will function like a start-up within the existing company as we aim to disrupt the ed-tech market in India with innovative and carefully designed consumer (B2C) products.
You will be among the first few engineers on our team to define and execute the vision for our consumer B2C learning app. The data engineers work will initially involve:
Create Dashboards for internal systems to monitor the health of the data.
Build, test, and maintain Data Pipelines to unify and aggregate the data.
Create material views to bring performance in queries for the frontend apps.
Create timely backup scripts to backup the data into S3 or similar Cloud apps.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app
Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
Technical culture and helping to build a fast-growing team
2+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role.
Technical expertise in data warehouse design, data pipelines(ETL) creation, and segmentation techniques.
Knowledge of Python(Pandas Data Frames, Num.py), Apache Airflow, S3/GCP Storage
Hands-on experience with SQL data warehouses like RedShift or Big-Query or Data-bricks
Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like AWS Glue, GCP DataStream or HevoData
Proficient with restful API to connect web applications to back-end services
Have strong debugging and root cause analysis skills alongside data structures
Are constantly learning and looking for ways to improve yourself and the processes around you
Work in agile team environments and are a self-starter, conscientious member of the team
Proficient in using Linux Bash commands
Proficient understanding of version control tools like Git.
