STENTiT is a medical device startup based at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, Netherlands, with the aim is to help people suffering from cardiovascular issues. We develop a novel class of regenerative endovascular implants for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Our ultimate goal is to restore the affected blood vessel from the inside out to provide a lifelong solution

Now we are looking for a Senior Electrospinning Engineer at our Eindhoven headquarters.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, multi-talented individual who wants to see the inside of a fast-moving startup and shape the development of this first-of-a-kind medical device.

You will get insights into a unique company that has the vision to become one of the world's leading players in regenerative endovascular implants.

Tasks

  • Master and control the electrospinning process.
  • Explore, define, and incorporate product improvements.
  • Manufacture prototypes.
  • Contribute to product testing, verification, and validation.
  • Deliver innovative ideas and translate them into patents.
  • Work closely with the management team and head of architecture to align R&D objectives.
  • Develop R&D strategies, work instructions, test protocols and quality documentation.
  • Document manufacturing and testing activities in various formats (logs, reports, work instructions).
  • Take part in management meetings.

Requirements

  • Master/PhD degree from a relevant field (e.g. biomedical engineering, regenerative medicine, mechanical engineering, polymer chemistry, applied physics).
  • 3+ years of hands-on electrospinning experience.
  • Know-how on polymer chemistry is a pre.
  • Proven track record and own experience in planning, executing and documenting R&D efforts.
  • Excellent analytical, statistical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment handling multiple workstreams independently at any given time.
  • High motivation to work on dynamic topics as well as get done whatever is necessary.
  • Reliable and taking responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
