Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Tasks

We are looking for a passionate Cloud / DevOps Engineer with experience in working in a cloud-native environment to join our team in Munich.

As a Cloud Engineer / DevOps you will shape the strategy, design, and implementation of our modern cloud architecture (based on AWS) and pave the way for the development of a scalable Computer Vision based application.

Your responsibilities:

• You will take a crucial role in optimizing container orchestration, monitoring, logging, deployment, and maintenance of our compute-heavy data processing pipeline as a whole, as well as its individual components.
• You will assist our development team with automation of recurring internal development processes to increase efficiency, stability, and scalability.
• You will develop, deploy, and maintain internal and production services. This will involve setting up and maintaining cloud as well as on-premise infrastructure.

Requirements

Your profile:

• Education in mathematics, physics, computer/data sciences, information systems or a similar background.
• 1-2+ years of production experience with design and implementation of cloud architectures based on AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience with container orchestration, such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.
• Experience with applying DevOps practices, specifically CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with applying Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Cloudformation or Terraform.
• Excellent modern Python programming skills.
• Fluent and articulate English.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of MLOps practices and experience with MLOps-oriented tools: experiment tracking (MLFlow), dataset versioning (DVC), model deployment (Kubeflow), etc.
• Knowledge of cloud processes status monitoring: Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, etc.
• Knowledge of GNU/Linux systems, including their administration.
• Experience with Rust, Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.
• Strong interest about trends in the Cloud Native world.
• Professional certification by public cloud provider, such as AWS.
