About Us

VSHN supports other developers in making their software testable, deployable, scalable, and operatable in any cloud as automatically as possible. We call this DevOps; other companies sometimes call it Site Reliability Engineering, Operation-, DevTools-, Automation- or Developer Happiness Engineering. We run applications so that the users are happy with the stability and 24/7 availability and the developers with agility and control. In addition, we take care of the generic processes like packaging, deployment and rollback, scaling, service discovery and load balancing, configuration and key management so that our customers can take care of (new) features even more efficiently.

Aufgaben

A Product Owner coordinates all efforts to define, develop and maintain a specific product. One or more products from the VSHN product portfolio can be assigned to a Product Owner.

The role knows a product in all its details (functionality, limitations, and dependencies) and is interested in the underlying technology and keeps up-to-date with current upstream development.

• You will be involved in detailed product planning.
• Detailed product feature definition
• Prioritise and clean up backlog (Stories)
• Manage projects to kickoff, maintain, improve or extend the product
• Work together with stakeholders, for example, Service Managers of customers who are using a product.
• You will look over product maintenance.
• Write maintenance Epics and break-down in into Stories.
• Manage product upgrades
• Coordinate significant changes with a product manager, for example, vendor product discontinuation or major version upgrades.
• You will understand product know-how.
• Technical features and capabilities of the vendor product and the VSHN product
• Market positioning and competitor offerings
• You will understand the customer's needs.
• Learnings from customer needs
• Knows the customers and users of the product
• You will be a part of the engineering team
• Technical knowledge about the product
• Helps the team to make technical decisions
• You will write and maintain:
• Technical product documentation for the user of the product and the VSHNeers, together with the engineers of the product team.
• Product definition, with the Product Manager and Product Manager and Product Owners of other (dependent) products.
• You will support
• Inside sales, creating and updating product sheets and products in our ERP.
• Sales (especially the pre-sales engineer for a specific lead) when the product is part of a potential project.

This job is for you if

• You have previous experience in a Product Owner position

• You look forward to supporting us with the expertise you have gained over some years in a similar position, in areas of:

• Project management

• OpenShift 4, Rancher and all the Cloud Kubernetes.

• You enjoy writing technical product documentation.

• You like working as a team together with the engineers of the product teams, Stakeholders, Business Development and Inside Sales.

• You are willing to learn and grow and are curious about customer needs

• You are interested in what it means to live in a culture where we shift decision-making from people to reasoned arguments involving those affected.

• You have an enthusiastic and open manner and find your values and beliefs represented in our Handbook

• You can communicate fluently at business level in German and English
