Job Description: Responsibility:
-Hands-on IP router/switch/telephony customer premises equipment
-Design, configure and deploy LAN and WAN network connections, hardware, software and communication links and services.
-Optimize the network and systems services and troubleshoot any network performance issues.
-Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to company standards.
Skills:
-Specific knowledge and 3 to 5 year's experience with Cisco and Juniper routers
-Knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications and routing
-Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking technologies
-Experience with protocols
-Firewall experience with firewalls such as (Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Checkpoint NG etc.)
-Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers
-Certifications such as (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
- The difference between the level 2 and level I are
Everything Eng1 plus additional years of experience, Advanced level of knowledge in the technologies mentioned in Eng1 (more in depth knowledge of layer2/layer3 protocols), higher certification such as CCNP instead of CCNA or JNCIS-SP, instead of JNCIA etc
- must be local and able to work in the Mt. Laurel, NJ office Tues-Thurs every week.
- this is feedback received about the shift: seeing a trend where the candidates we interviewed, past few days, thinking of this as a second job and interested in working mid shift only. This won't work for us. The 8 hrs they should be fully dedicated to our job and should have the flexibility to work any shifts if needed. Shifts are either dayshift or evening shift and a couple of them may be 12:00 noon to 8:00pm as well.
Essentially, candidates need to be flexible to work any 8 hour shift between 8a-8p EST M-F.
