Sustainability Engineer

Located in Madrid, we are seeking a result driven Intermediate Sustainability Consultant to develop the group IPS process and sustainability services while contributing in projects related to sustainable initiatives, audits and consultancies in industrial environments.

The candidate should have experience in the field of sustainability and with a consultancy background. It is key that the candidate has good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, strategic thinking and a good network to provide insights on the moves of the industry and the implementation of the services..

This position reports directly to the International Business Unit Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Help to develop the framework, tools and methodology of services to be offered

Collaborate in marketing definition and materials focusing on new marketing strategies and methods[PR1]

- Working in projects in sustainability and process consulting around the following areas:

- Energy efficiency in industry

- Circular economy and loop closure helping customers find value from byproducts and wastes

- Carbon footprint calculation and reduction

- Waste water management and recommendations

- Emissions measurement, alternatives and management

- Energy transition projects

- Special interest to Hydrogen Economy

Requirements

Requirements:

- Min 5 years of experience in sustainability in industrial environments, ideally dealing with Engineers profiles.

- Consulting experience will be a plus.

- Flexibility and travel availability.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to respond to Managers.

- Excellent communication skills with English and French, apart from Spanish.

- Education: Engineering related to Sustainability Techonologies- Energies or Industrial Engineering with this specialization.

- Experience with biogas, green hydrogen, waste to energy solutions will be an asset.

- Experience with Industrial wage management and/or water treatment, renewable energies will be a plus.

- GIS software experience is also a plus.

- Environmental risk experience is an asset.
