CMSE Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, one of the largest construction companies in Ireland to recruit a Safety Advisor to assist their team.This is a 3-5 month contract, a fully site-based role in Dublin 1.
The successful candidate should bepersonable andshould beable to work independently as well as part of a thriving team, since they will work closely with the regional safety team on site.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Promote safe working practices and ensure the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures on site.
- Carry out regular site HSE inspections and report back findings to relevant personnel.
- Ensure that HSE project plans meet company standards.
- Attend daily whiteboard meetings and other relevant HSE meetings as required.
- Ensuring PPE is provided and utilized correctly.
- Supervision of platform scaffolds and safe use.
- Actively investigating and reporting issues regarding fall from heights.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- Level 7 qualification in health and safety
- IOSH Membership(Desirable)
- Experience in similar H&S roles
- Experience ofconstruction sites preferablycommercial & residentialexperience would be an advantage
- Ability to advise on HSE issues on a day to day basis on site.
- Manual Handling and Working at Heights Instructor (Desirable)
- People management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment.
The ideal candidate: Experience in similar H&S roles Experience of construction sites preferably commercial & residential experience would an advantage Ability to advise on HSE issues on a day-to-day basis on site. Manual Handling and Working at Heights Instructor (Desirable)
